KSP Post 4 Commander
Kentucky State Police Post 4 located in Elizabethtown is under the command of Captain William J. Ward. Captain Ward received his KSP commission in June of 1986 and was appointed Post 4 commander in September of 2004.
KSP Post 4 Shop with a Trooper
(Elizabethtown, Ky.) –- Master Trooper Norman Chaffins reported that he has been involved with Shop With A Trooper every year for the past 17 years. It seems that each year gas prices have increased, more citizens are laid off from their jobs, more homes are in foreclosure, and the economy has been in bad shape. However, one thing that has not changed is the giving spirit of the people in Post 4's area. Today, while doing Shop With A Trooper at the Leitchfield WalMart, Trooper Chaffins noticed an elderly gentleman dressed in an old flannel shirt and a pair of dirty ripped up blue jeans, with tears in his eyes talking with Trooper Jason Drane. Trooper Drane had his arm around this man and told him why we were there with the kids. As he walked away, he handed Tpr. Drane a 100 dollar bill as a donation to our program.

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- The Harrison County Sheriff's Office in Indiana has a missing person investigation in which a male subject (Evan James Morris is a white male age 28 and was born July 4th, 1983) was witnessed jumping off the 2nd Street Bridge into the Ohio River on May 28, 2011.
