KSP Post 2 Commander

An image of Captain MarksKentucky State Police Post 2 located in Madisonville is under the command of Captain William M. Marks, Jr. Captain Marks received his KSP commission in November of 1985 and was appointed Post 2 commander in Febraury of 2008.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 serves the following Kentucky Counties:

Post 2 Service Area ImageCaldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.

Post 2 Welcomes New Lieutenant

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Monday, March 1, 2010, Sergeant Jeremy V. Thompson of the Kentucky State Police Post 4 Elizabethtown was promoted to lieutenant and transferred to Post 2 Madisonville. Lieutenant Thompson began his career with the Kentucky State Police in January of 1998.

The Kentucky State Police are rolling out a classic 60s muscle car updated for the 21st Century for their Trooper Island fund-raising raffle this year: the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro (1LT Coupe). Sporting a Victory Red exterior and black interior, a rear spoiler and aluminum wheels with Midnight Silver finish, this pony combines retro cool styling, robust performance, enhanced safety, efficient fuel economy, environmental friendliness and high tech tweaks that really make it rock.
