Impaired Driving Enforcement and Highway Safety Awards To Be Announced

(Frankfort, Ky.) - The impaired driving enforcement efforts of 190 officers and 186 law enforcement agencies from throughout the state will be recognized at a special awards ceremony scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Galt House-East Tower in Louisville.
Jack Adams, Kentucky State Police Commissioner; General Norman Arflack, Justice Cabinet Secretary and Ms. Connie Beasley, regional program manager with the National Highway Safety Administration in Atlanta will present the awards.
Angela Leigh, Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving Kentucky, will present an award to the officer making the most impaired driving arrests between October 1, 2005 and September 30, 2006.
The Keynote Speaker for this event will be Mr. Tom Kimball, Tennessee State Traffic Safety Prosecutor.
