Search Warrants Lead to Drug Arrests in Nicholas and Bourbon CountiesDate of News Release: 01/21/2008
(Carlisle, KY, January 17, 2008) - The Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Branch along with Troopers from Post 6 and the Gateway / Buffalo Trace Drug Task Force executed search warrants at a Nicholas County residence and also at a residence in Bourbon County. A quantity of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash was seized from the residence located at 711 Millers Station Road, Carlisle, KY.
Arrested and charged with 1 count of trafficking in marijuana over 5 pounds and 1 count of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (cocaine) was Cecillio Navaro and Fernando Lopez, both residing at 711 Millers Station Road, Carlisle, KY. Both Cecillio Navaro and Fernando Lopez were lodged in the Montgomery County Jail.
From the second residence located at 1051 Steel Ford Road, in Bourbon County, Troopers seized a quantity of cocaine, over 6 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Arrested and charged with 1 count of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (cocaine) and 1 count of trafficking in marijuana over 5 pounds was Blas Castillo, residing at 1051 Steel Ford Road, Paris, KY. Blas Castillo was lodged in the Bourbon County Jail.
The search warrants and arrests stem from on-going drug trafficking investigations in Nicholas and Bourbon County area. Additional arrests are pending.
