KSP/CVE and Kentucky Sports Radio Live Remote On Safety Over Ticketing Aggressive Cars And Trucks (TACT)

WHAT: The Kentucky State Police, Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement will be partnering with Kentucky Sports Radio, M&M Cartage Co., Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, to promote highway safety, with emphasis on the hazards of aggressive driving, and how KSP/CVE employs the Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) grant. To highlight this event, Kentucky Sports Radio will be hosting a live, two hour radio remote from the parking lot of K-mart in Coal Run.
The TACT program is a national campaign funded through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in an effort to crackdown on motorists driving recklessly in the vicinity of commercial vehicles, as well as commercial truck operators violating traffic laws.

WHERE: K-mart parting lot, just off US23 in the Coal Run community of Pike County
WHO: Kentucky State Police Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Kentucky Sports Radio, M & M Cartage Co., Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Federal Motor Carrier Association (FMCSA).
WHY: To educate motorists in the area of aggressive driving, and how to safely and properly share the roadways with commercial vehicles, through adequate spacing and optimum points of vision.
