Garrard County School Teacher Charged With Operating Motor Vehicle Under The Influence After Collision

STANFORD, Ky. (October 25, 2016) approximately 10:20 a.m. Kentucky State Police Officer Matthew Hutti assisted the Stanford Police Department with a possible injury accident on Lee Drive. After arriving on scene, officers located a vehicle which appeared to have exited Lee Drive and strike several trees. Officers then attempted to make contact with the operator, Stephen T. Grubbs, who appeared to be unconscious. Grubbs was then transported by Lincoln County EMS to Fort Logan Hospital where he was admitted. Due to being admitted to the hospital, Grubbs was cited into court and charged with the following: Operating a motor vehicle under the influence, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and no insurance 1st offense. Officer Hutti is investigating the criminal charges and the Stanford Police Department is investigating the collision.
