Date of News Release: 10/07/2016
BEREA, Ky. (October 7, 2016) At approximately 7:30 A.M., Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Charles Tinsley responded to a non-injury crash around the 76 mile marker north bound on I-75 in Madison County, KY. Through investigation, it appears Lark L. Lambert of Eugene, Oregon was traveling north on Interstate 75 transporting refrigerated foods, when a minivan entered her lane of travel. Ms. Lambert swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid a collision with the minivan. As a result, the tractor and trailer Ms. Lambert was operating exited the roadway causing her to lose control and overturn. Ms. Lambert was not injured in the collision but a dog riding in her truck ran into the roadway and was struck by oncoming traffic. One lane of Interstate 75 was temporarily shut down for approximately 4.5 hours while crews cleaned up the scene. The minivan in question didn’t stop and was unable to be located.
Officer Tinsley was assisted on scene by Berea Police Department, Berea Fire Department, and Madison County EMS.
