Pike County Resident Promoted To CVE Sergeant

MOREHEAD, Ky. (September 14, 2016) The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement is proud to announce the promotion of a Pike County resident.
CVE Sergeant James M. Fields of Elkhorn City, Kentucky is a 17 year veteran of law enforcement. Sergeant Fields began his law enforcement career with the Elkhorn, KY Police Department and after 3 years moved to the Johnson County, KY Sheriff's Department. In 2003, Sergeant Fields began his career with Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement and has held several positions within the agency, including officer, special operations, public affairs, and his current assignment as KSP-CVE region 5 sergeant.
CVE Sergeant Fields is the son of Willis and the late Betty Fields from Harold, KY. He is married to Taria Fields, has two children, and two grandchildren.
