Cranston Road in Rowan County Shut Down For Hours Due To Collision Involving Semi, Driver Airlifted To UK Hospital

(Morehead, KY) - Kentucky State Police CVE Officer Richard Bolduc is investigating a collision that has caused Cranston Road in Morehead, KY to be shut down for hours. A preliminary investigation indicates that a tractor trailer hauling logs and being operated by Robbie D Trucking, LLC out of Jackson, Kentucky was traveling southbound, when it left the roadway and traveled down an enmbankment. At the bottom of the embankment, the tractor trailer continued southbound until it struck a tree. The impact with the tree severely damaged the truck, and caused the cargo to become airborne and scatter onto the ground. The driver was injured, and flown via helicopter to UK Hospital. His condition is unkonwn at this time. The collision is still under investigation by Officer Bolduc.
