Injury Collision on KY 101 in Allen County

(Scottsville, KY) - The Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle injury collision that happened today at approximately 4:27p.m. on KY-101 in Allen County.
40-year-old James Baker of Midland, Texas was operating a 2017 Volvo traveling south on KY-101. Baker met an oncoming commercial motor vehicle, he attempted to move over, however the roadway was not large enough for the two vehicles. Baker’s vehicle dropped off the shoulder causing it to overturn. The large steel coil Baker was hauling came off the trailer resulting in one lane of KY-101 being closed for several hours. Baker was transported to the Scottsville Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Sgt. Ford is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by the Allen Co Fire and Ems.
