Update: Injury Collision on US-127 in Russell County

(Jamestown, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Region 2 responded to a single vehicle injury collision this afternoon at approximately 4:54pm involving an overturned semi on US-127 at Wolf Creek Dam.

According to Officers 54-year-old Wendell Goff of McMinnville, TN was traveling south on US-127 near the Wolf Creek Dam. Goff was operating a 2000 International when the load he was hauling shifted as he was attempted to negotiate a curve causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Goff attempted to regain control of the vehicle where he overcorrected causing the vehicle to overturn closing US-127 for 4 hours.

Goff was transported to the Russell County Hospital where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries. Goff was wearing his seat belt. Senior Officer Derek Cundiff is investigating and was assisted at the scene by Russell County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky Department of Transportation and Russell County EMS.

Injury Collision on US-127 in Russell County

(Jamestown, KY) - The Kentucky State Police are currently working an injury collision involving an overturned semi on US-127 at Wolf Creek Dam. The roadway is currently closed with no detour in place. Motorists traveling to Albany on US-127 are urged to use KY-61. Officers say the road will remained closed for approximately 2 hours while clean up takes place.
