Floyd County Woman Charged With Endangerment of Child

(Martin, KY) - The Kentucky State Police/Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Region 6, Pikeville is investigating an incident involving a Floyd County infant.
In the afternoon hours of Monday, May 18, 2015, Kentucky State Police Post 9 received a 911 call stating an infant had been found crawling along the roadway of KY122 in the Martin community of Floyd County. Officers responded to the scene and discovered that an 11 month old child had crawled away from a residence while under the care of his Grandmother, Tammy Cooper, 48 of Martin.
Trans Star Ambulance Service responded to the scene to transport the child to St. Joseph Hospital in Martin for safety precautions.
Cooper was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment Second Degree.
