Wanted Subject Arrested in Laurel County

(London, KY) - On Thursday March 20th 2014 at 7:15 A.M. Officer Travis Rogers with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement stopped a vehicle for speeding and reckless driving after observing the driver and passenger switching driver seats while their vehicle was in motion on the Hal Rogers Parkway in London Kentucky.
After stopping the vehicle and speaking to the original driver officer Rogers found 21 yr old Joshua T. Coots of Somerset was wanted for parole violations and also found him to have a suspended license. Upon attempting to arrest Coots a brief struggle took place and Coots evaded police on foot. Coots was located a short time later by London City Police Department an he was arrested without further incident. Charges include: speeding, reckless driving, changing drivers-car in motion, operating on suspended license, assault-police officer, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and parole violation.
The second driver 20 yr old Genevieve Viscusi of Somerset Kentucky was issued traffic citations and a date to appear in court for her part in incident.
