Serious Injury Collison in Pulaski County

(Stab, KY) - On Thursday January 2nd 2013 around 5:30 P.M. Officer Keegan Bray with the Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement responded to a three vehicle serious accident located on KY80 near the 33 mile marker in Pulaski County Kentucky.

Upon arrival and through investigation Officer Bray Determined that 28 year old Austin Estes of Hopkinsville Kentucky was traveling east bound on KY80 when he lost control of his vehicle crossing the center lane of travel hitting a 2012 GMC Pick-up truck being operated by 37 year old John Cromer of Nancy Kentucky. Estes continued on striking a 2000 Chrysler mini Van being operated by 39 year old Robert Caldwell from Ages Kentucky.

All drivers and passengers were taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital were three juvenile passengers (from Caldwell vehicle) later transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in critical condition.

Drugs and alcohol as not suspected factors and all parties were wearing seat belt at the time of collision. Snow and ice covered roads were direct factors in this collision.

Assisting on scene: Pulaski Co EMS, Stabb Volunteer Fire Department. Officer Keegan Bray continues the investigation.
