CVE Region 2 Promote the KY Hero Campaign at 4th Street

Louisville, KY. (January 3, 2014) -- With an expected attendance of around 4000 people, Louisville's 4th Street Live was the perfect location to ring in the New Year and Kentucky State Police CVE Region 2 was on hand to promote the KY Hero Campign. The HERO Campaign is a nationwide effort to promote designated driving by forging partnerships with bar and tavern owner's; asking them to offer free soft drinks to sober drivers. CVE Region 2 Officer Daniel Brown and Public Affairs Officer Jared Newberry displayed the "Hero" campign materials street side at the entrance to 4th Street, greeting party goers and promoting the program. By utilitizing event's like the New Year Holiday we get a unique opportunity to take the message of safe and sober driving to locations such as 4th Street Live, says Newberry. To learn more on this and many other safety programs the publc is encouraged to visit the KSP website at www.kentuckystatepolice.org or www.kentuckyheroes.org.
