KSP Promotes Safe Holiday Travel

(Henderson, Ky) - The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is encouraging safety on Kentucky roadways during the 4th of July holiday weekend. It's a fact that every 2 hours three people are killed in alcohol related traffic crashes in the United States. In the 2013 4th of July holiday weekend there were 5 collisions on Kentucky roads that resulted in 6 fatalities. Alcohol was determined to be a factor in 3 of those accidents. The Kentucky State Police will partner with local law enforcement to aggressively patrol Kentucky roadways and set up traffic safety check points. Please help make Kentucky safer by not drinking and driving. In Kentucky, drive sober or get pulled over.
