CVE Officer Locates Lost Rescued Dog in Laurel County

(London, KY) -- On Sunday August 25th 2013 Ms. Jeanine Mattison of Williamsburg Kentucky was assisting with an animal transport from North Carolina to Kentucky with a Doberman pinscher that had been rescued and was being placed in an animal shelter in Louisville.

While stopping for a break at the weigh stations in London, "Monty" a 68 pound male Doberman pinscher got loose and has been missing for several days without food, water or medicine that the dog is required to take to live.

While on patrol Officer Randy Rader with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement located "Monty" next to the 33 mile marker on I-75 southbound and was able to feed, water and comfort the dog until the transporter could arrive to be reunited with the rescued animal.

The reward that was being offered is being sent to Kentucky State Police-Trooper Island Camp for underprivileged children.
