Local Officer Retires

(London, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement would like to announce to the retirement of a local resident after 24 years of service to the agency.

Officer Bert Foster of London has been employed with the Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement since 1989 were he held assignments in Northern Kentucky covering Boone and Kenton counties.

Later Foster relocated to London where he was assigned to several counties including Laurel, Knox, Bell and Harlan counties.

Foster had a direct impact on highway safety by maintaining high levels of activity resulting in many unsafe commercial vehicle and drivers being placed out of service and taken off Kentucky roadways.

Foster is a 1976 graduate of Laurel County High School. He is the son of the late Carlo and Jemima Foster of London, and has three adult children.
