Commercial Vehicle Collision in Laurel County

Date of News Release: 03/05/2012

(London, KY) -- On Monday March 5th 2012 around 3:30 P.M. Officer Randy Rader with the Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement responded to an injury accident involving a commercial vehicle located on KY80 in the City of London.

Upon arrival Officer Rader determined that 17 year old Lindy Dean of London was west on KY80 operating a 2008 Chrysler 300 when she crossed the concrete median an struck a 2000 International tractor trailer operated by 33 year old Benjamin McFadden of Lexington Kentucky.

Mr. McFadden was not injured, Ms. Dean and a16 year old passenger Leandra Dean (Sister) was transported to St. Joseph hospital with minor head and chest injuries.

Drug and alcohol are not factors in the accident, and all parties were wearing seat belts at the time of collision.

Assisting on scene: KSP Trp. Lloyd Cochran, London City Police, KY Safe Patrol, and Ambulance Inc. Officer Randy Rader Continues the investigation.
