Commercial Vehicle Fire in Williamsburg Kentucky

(Williamsburg, KY) -- On Friday March 2nd 2012 around 5 A.M. officer Mike Hamblin with the Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement responded to a commercial vehicle fire located on I-75 near the 17 mile marker in Williamsburg Kentucky.

Upon arrival Hamblin learned that 49 year old Kurt Mcnammer of Mount Horeb Wisconsin was traveling south an operating a 2003 Peterbilt tractor trailer when his tire blew out, catching fire an eventually spreading to the trailer that lead to a total loss of the property and several thousand pounds of butter.

The slow lane of travel was closed for several hours while emergency personal worked to extinguish the fire and clean the debris from the roadway.

Assisting on scene: CVE officers Sgt. Greg Reams, Dennis Jackson, Rob Mitchell, Gold Bug Fire Department, State Emergency Management Director Jerry Rains, and Whitley Co Emergency Management Danny Moses. Officer Mike Hamblin continues the investigation.
