KSP Hires a Local Resident

(Frankfort, Ky.) -- A Green County resident, Mr. Nicholas L. Pruitt, recently accepted a position with the Kentucky State Police. Pruitt joined the ranks as a Kentucky State Police officer assigned to Region 2 of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcment Division. Region 2 is based in Louisville and covers 27 counties.

Pruitt is currently in week 10 of 18 of basic training at the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond. Upon completion, Pruitt will be paired with a field training officer for 10 weeks. During these 10 weeks, Pruitt will face numerous tasks and evaluations to supplement academy training and to go beyond that which is possible in a classroom setting.

Pruitt has already successfully completed training in the highly specialized areas of federal truck regulations and hazardous materials training at the Kentucky State Police academy in Frankfort.

Nicholas resides in Pierce with his wife Brittany and their two children, Jordan and Jakin. Pruitt is son of Rickey and Lisa Pruitt of Fry Ridge.
