On June 04, 1984 the body of Dexter Cook was found inside his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The vehicle was parked along side of KY 588 at Premium in Letcher County. Evidence at the scene suggests Dexter Cook was not shot while inside of the vehicle. The autopsy determined the time of death to be between the hours of 6:00 PM and Midnight on June 02, 1984.
To date the perpetrator(s) have not been identified, and brought to trial.
