Kentucky State Police Request Help Resolving Richard Lacefield Murder
Occurred on March 28, 1981 at I75/SB Rest Area in Scott County, KY
Saturday, March 28, 1981 Mr. Richard Lacefield , age 74 had been beaten and robbed at the southbound rest area, 2 miles north of Georgetown. Victim had blunt trauma to the head and was found in the rest area men's room. Through investigation it was determined that Mr. Lacefield frequented the Latonia Race Track in Northern Kentucky and often stayed at the Ramada Inn in Florence, Kentucky.
