Trooper Applicant Written Examination

This is the first stage of the selection process. The written examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. The question subject matter consists of spelling, vocabulary, language skills, word knowledge, reasoning ability, Measurement computations, arithmetic reasoning, property classification, speed computation, memory retention and direction orientation exercises.

The exam is evaluated as pass/fail. Seventy percent or 70 questions answered correctly constitute a passing score. A passing score will enable the applicant to advance to the next phase of the selection process, which is the Content-Based Task Test. Applicants are eligible to take the written examination twice in a 12-month period. The 12-month period extends from the date of the first written examination.
