KSP Charges Missouri Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses

Frankfort, Ky. (August 5, 2016) - On August 4, 2016, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 12-Frankfort, arrested David B. Jordan Jr., 40, for prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses.

Jordan was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after observing the suspect using an online chat system to communicate with a subject whom he believed to be a 14-year-old female. On August 4, 2016, Jordan traveled across state lines from Missouri to Kentucky with plans to engage in illicit sexual contact with the minor.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant of Jordan's vehicle, where electronic equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.

Jordan is currently charged with one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses. The charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. Additional charges are expected.

Jordan was lodged in the Franklin County Detention Center.
