KSP Charges Jefferson County Man With Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

(Louisville, Ky.) - On June 16, 2015, at 6:10 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post-4 Elizabethtown, arrested Joseph F. Sanchez JR., 41, for charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Mr. Sanchez was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images included prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Mr. Sanchez's residence on June 16, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination; the investigation is ongoing. Mr. Sanchez is currently charged with twenty (20) counts of possession and four (4) counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. All charges are Class D Felonies, with each count punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison. Mr. Sanchez was arrested and lodged in the Jefferson County Detention Center.
