KSP Charges Pendleton County Man With Possession And Distribution Of Child Pornography

(Falmouth, Ky.) - On May 28, 2015, at approximately 4:57 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 6-Dry Ridge, arrested Roy D. Felty, 36, on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Felty was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images included prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Felty's residence on May 28, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Felty is currently charged with 18 counts of possession and 12 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. All charges are Class D felonies, with each count punishable by one to five years in prison.

Felty was lodged in the Boone County Jail.
