Winchester Man Charged With Crimes Related to Child Pornography

(Winchester, Ky.) - On May 7, 2014 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested Linville Strange, 45, of Winchester, Ky., on charges related to child pornography. Strange is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor-1st offense.
This arrest was the result of an ongoing, nation-wide Internet Crimes Against Children investigation by HSI and the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. HSI agents in Arizona began investigating in January after they discovered a suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation.
Investigators contacted Strange at his residence in Winchester. After an investigation, Strange was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Clark County Detention Center. A full forensic examination of the evidence is pending and the investigation is ongoing by KSP Det. Josh Lawson and HSI Special Agent Mike Romagnoli.
