KSP Charges Casey County Man with Crimes Related to Child Pornography

(Bethelridge, Ky.) -- A Casey County man was arrested on charges related to child pornography Wednesday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.
Franklin G. Clark, 29, is charged with two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. He was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.
Clark was arrested as the result of an ongoing undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that originated in Utah. Investigators with the Utah Attorney General's Office arrested a man in January who was using the Internet to exchange images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children. During the investigation it was determined that the man had been trading images with someone in Bethelridge, Ky.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Clark's residence on August 1, 2012 by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch and KSP Post 15-Columbia units. Equipment used to distribute and possess child pornography was seized and taken to KSP's Forensic Laboratory for examination.
