KSP Charges McCracken County Man With Crimes Related to Child Pornography

(PADUCAH, Ky.) -- A McCracken County man was arrested on charges related to child pornography on Wednesday, July 11 after Kentucky State Police (KSP) served a search warrant at his home.
Danny Coons, 56, is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Coons was arrested as the result of an ongoing undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives were lead to the suspect's residence after a computer in the residence was seen online with files indicative of child sexual exploitation.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Coon's residence on July 11, 2012 by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch and KSP Post 1 detectives. Also assisting in the investigation was the Paducah Police Dept. and the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. Equipment used in the crime was seized and taken to KSP's Forensic Laboratory for examination.
