KSP Increases Enforcement Efforts Statewide During Memorial Day Holiday

WHEN: Friday, May 28 (6:00 p.m.) through Monday, May 31 (11:59 p.m.)
WHERE: Statewide
WHY: To reduce highway fatalities by targeted enforcement of speed, driving under the influence, aggressive driving and seat belt violations*.

*2009 Memorial Holiday Stats (May 22@ 6:00 pm - May 25 @ 11:59 pm). During the official holiday period, there were 899 collisions with 350 injuries and 9 fatalities.
