Four Arrested On Vehicle Theft Charges

(Frankfort, Ky.) -- The Criminal Enterprise Task Force (FBI Lexington/Kentucky State Police Vehicle Investigations) concluded a year-long investigation with the arrests of four subjects today.
Federal Indictments were returned in U.S. District Court in London charging Conspiracy to Own, Operate, Maintain and Control a Chop Shop. These subjects were arrested in Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia today and returned to U.S. District Court in London.
The charges were a result of an investigation into the theft of semi trucks and trailers from Tennessee and Kentucky with a combined value of more than $600,000.
Arrested were: H.C. McDarries, 73, Corbin, Ky.; Ricky Lee McDarries, 50, Big Stone Gap, Va.; Larry Neal, 50, Tazwell, Tenn. and Sam Gilbert, 73, Corbin, Ky.
Law enforcement agencies assisting with the investigation included theVirginia Dept. of Motor Vehicles, Tennessee Dept. of Revenue, Hancock County (Virginia) Sheriff's Dept., Kentucky State Police Post 11 London, FBI Knoxville, Tenn. and FBI Richmond, Va.
