Kentucky State Police To Test Trooper Applicants In Richmond
(Frankfort, Ky. (Oct. 19, 2009) -- The Kentucky State Police announces that testing for trooper applicants will be held the week of November 16, 2009 at the Department of Criminal Justice Training located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
Applicants should contact the Kentucky State Police Recruitment Branch at 1-866-360-3165. Anyone interested in obtaining information about joining the KSP can call the number during office hours from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (ET), Monday through Friday, or leave a message any other time. More information and application forms available for download are on the Internet at http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/career.htm.
KSP applicants must be 21 years of age, a U.S. citizen, in good health and possess a valid driver's license with no more than six driver demerit points. Applicants must also possess a minimum of 60 college credit hours or an associate's degree from an accredited college or university or be a high school graduate with at least two years of either active military duty or experience as a full-time, sworn law enforcement officer.
Application deadline is Nov. 6.
