Kentucky State Police Appoint New Commander Of Mayfield Post

(FRANKFORT, KY) - Capt. William M. Marks, Jr. has been named commander of Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield, effective August 16th. He replaces Capt. Steve Humphreys, who retired July 31st.
A 21-year veteran of KSP, Marks is a native and resident of Madisonville, Ky. His previous assignments include KSP posts in Henderson and Madisonville. Most recently, he served as commander of the Inspections and Evaluations Branch at KSP headquarters in Frankfort.
"I look forward to serving the citizens of Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg counties," says Marks. "Working together, we can make a real difference by reducing crime, promoting public safety and making local communities better places to live and raise families."
Marks is a 1979 graduate of Madisonville North Hopkins High School and a former military policeman in the U.S. Army.
