KSP Promotion Ceremony
Eighty-Two Also to Receive New Trooper Designation

FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Kentucky State Police (KSP) will hold a promotion ceremony at 11 a.m. (EDT), Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Holiday Inn Hurstbourne in Louisville.

Three officers will be promoted to captain, 11 promoted to lieutenant and 25 promoted to sergeant. In addition, 82 troopers, one posthumously, will be awarded the title of trooper first class. This will be the first group of KSP officers to achieve this new designation.

Lt. Governor Steve Pence and KSP Commissioner Mark L. Miller will present the promotions and the trooper first class awards.
