Update on Rockcastle County Murder Investigation
(London, Kentucky) - The Kentucky State Police at London have received numerous questions as to the condition of Karen Taylor's body at the time her body was discovered on Sunday, July 6, 2003.
The body was in the state of decomposition and her hands were removed from the body.
When the initial report was released this information was not included in the case with it being vital information which may have jeopardized the investigation at the time. However since several questions have risen concerning the hands and fingerprints to assist in identifying the victim we are confirming that her hands were detached from the body and have not been recovered.
The Kentucky State Police in London are asking for assistance from anyone having information as to the death of Karen Taylor. Anyone having information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police in London at 606-878-6622, 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or your local law enforcement agency. Tips may remain anonymous.
Detective Gary Lane is continuing the investigation and is being assisted by the Rockcastle County Sheriff's Department.
